Ultrasound Pictures!

This was taken last Wednesday at my OB appointment. Sweet profile!

HaHa... Jonathan told Baylor we were having a baby pig when he saw this one. I had to explain all babies look like this so early on.

I can't wait to see what he or she looks like in 2 weeks!

10 Week OB Appt

Last was my first OB Appt and I was 10 1/2 week at that time. Before I saw my favorite OB I had a quick ultrasound to make sure Baby was doing ok and he or she was moving around and had a heartbeat of 171. The other point of the appointment was uneventful with a weight check, BP check, and we discussed the history of my pregnancy with Baylor.

So fast forward 2 days later to Friday morning. I was home with Baylor because when I picked him up Thursday afternoon from Gin Gin's he started vomiting- another lovely virus. I woke up and immediately knew something wasn't right. I called Jonathan so upset and told him he had to come home to watch Bay because I needed to get to the doctor. I called the office and didn't feel like waiting for an operator so I called my mom who also works for my OB and told her to call my Dr. D's nurse and the front desk and let them know I was coming right then. Thankfully they got me back after a few minutes and I spoke to the nurse and then went back for an ultrasound. The room was so quiet between me, my mom, and Amy the ultrasound tech. Right away we saw the baby moving all around with a heartbeat of 168 which was a huge relief, but I still was waiting to see what was causing the symptoms I was having. Amy then said I had a placenta previa. This is very common. A lot of women never even know they have have it because they never show any signs. The good news is that placenta previa is corrected by 20 weeks in 95% of women who have it. I was sent home on bed rest for the whole weekend. Let me tell you I could not imagine having to do this whole bed rest thing throughout the rest of my pregnancy. So I'm praying and ask that you join me in praying that it does correct itself and that I don't have any more issues caused from it. Not being able to care for Baylor this weekend was extremely difficult as I'm sure it would be on any mother. Jonathan and I are the type of parent's who like to do everything for Baylor ourselves. I know everyone is different, but we enjoy doing it all. That was my biggest concern the whole weekend- what if I have to go on bed rest longer? What if I have to stay in the hospital overnight? For the record Baylor has never spent the night away from us. Jonathan and I have had no reason to let him or wanted to. I don't see that changing anytime in the near future. We've joked that he may come home from the hospital after the baby's delivery to stay with Bay at night- and we might actually do it. Glad to know we're not the only one's who are the same way,but if we were that would be ok too. As parent's who both work full time and Jonathan who is back in school at night, we absolutely cherish every second we can get with our sweet little man that we worked so hard to have.

So that is my spill... Please, please keep me in your prayers- Pray that the placenta previa corrects itself. If for some reason it's not going to anytime soon then please pray I don't have any symptoms from it. Pray that I can stay healthy and off bed rest so I can care for sweet boy and help Jonathan out. I return for an ultrasound in 2 weeks just to see what's going on and if there are any changes.

Baby Cox Update!

Finally a Baby Cox update... I'm 10 weeks preggo now and starting to feel better. Fingers crossed. I thought I was going to skip the whole "morning" sickness thing this time,but it started a little later and has left without sticking around long, which I'm extremely thankful for. I got discharged from ART last Monday and will have my first OB Appointment on Wednesday morning right after I have my first OB ultrasound. I'm excited about seeing our sweet baby again. I'm going to miss my weekly ultrasounds at ART.

Christmas 2011

As promised I'm finally getting around to doing a Christmas post. And as usual Christmas was a crazy, hectic, fun time. We started traditions with Baylor 3 Christmas' ago- can you believe he's been here for that many?! So of course we stuck to them and will continue too. One thing we always do is go to the Live Nativity. This year it moved out in front of Baptist East. It's starting to get a lot bigger and the new location was great. Next on our list was going to look at Christmas lights. We usually do this on Christmas Eve right after our Candlelight Service with my mom and brother's family. This year we did it the night before Christmas Eve and just my mom went with us. My brother and his family are preparing to welcome a sweet baby girl in just a week and a half so they've been busy. On Christmas Eve just the 3 of us like always headed to our Candlelight Service- in which they do not have childcare for their 2 services so Baylor and Daddy were out in the hallway for most of the service with several other dad's and children. After the service we stopped and got a bite to eat then headed home.

Now of all our traditions my favorite is that on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning it's just our family of 3- until we add our new addition next year! We let Baylor open one gift from Mommy and Daddy before bed. Then on Christmas morning we wake up with just our family on Christmas day. It seems like we are always rushing to see everyone so it's nice to have just family time with us 3 while we can. We look forward to this tradition with our sweet new baby next Christmas- just the 4 of us having a nice quiet Christmas Eve followed by family time on Christmas morning. Ahh... brings a grin to my face. Love that our family is growing!!

After our Christmas at home we headed over to my brother's to see what Santa brought the boys, exchange gifts, and enjoy a little family time before heading up to Birmingham to see Jonathan's family. We spend several hours up there eating lunch, exchanging gifts, and more family time. After a long day we headed back to Montgomery to once again get a little family time in with just us 3- we cherish these little moments.

I couldn't help but keep imagining how Christmas would be next year with two kids- and the thought of it just sounds like lots of fun and laughter for a new family of 4!

2 Year Check Up!

Baylor had his 2 year check up back at the beginning of December . He was such a big boy! He went potty in the cup for his urinalysis. The nurses were shocked when I asked if he needed to go in a cup. They said they don't see that many 2 year olds potty training that well, especially boys. He lucked out this check up and only had to pricked in the finger to blood work- at which he did not cry at all for. He is the 35% for weight- I promise he eats a lot most days. He is just so active. He is also in the top 95th percentile for height and Dr. M estimated his adult height to be 6"2- tall boy! I have the actually numbers writing down in on a piece of paper Dr.M gave me, but don't have it with me at the moment. I'll be back to update with those soon. We are very thankful we have a very healthy boy. He did have an ear infection which was caused from the croup he battled the week before, but after some good meds he was feeling great.

Some things Baylor is up to are:

- Potty training and doing so well.

- In pull up during the day and diapers for naps and nap time

-Talking and Singing nonstop

-Tells us "love you"back when we tell him- melts my heart!

-See's his sibling's ultrasound picture and says "baby" in the cheesiest little voice. He's so cute!

-Love his Woody and Buzz that he got from Santa. He likes to say " to infinity and beyond" like Buzz.

- Favorite thing to eat is fruit- still. He would live off it if we let him.

-Absolutely adores his nephews. Asks for the them all the time. A week from Monday he will be getting a new niece too. Not to sure what he will think of her.

-Thinks timeout is the worst thing ever because he has to be still, but goes straight to it when I tell him to. He always trys " I have a boo" to get out- smart kid!

- And of course he has his Mommy and Daddy's whole heart!!

Santa Came Early...

We're EXPECTING!!! We found out on November 30th and we are absolutely thrilled that our family is growing. My due date is August 12 and I will be 8 weeks this Sunday. For my fellow fertility treatment readers we conceived on clomid again. When we conceived back in June it was also on clomid. I'm still going to ART- I have 2 more weeks there. I'm getting weekly ultrasounds and we've already seen the HB twice.

We told my mom by letting her watch Baylor open an early gift from Santa...

We attended Avery's Birthday party at the beginning of December...

We went to the North Pole Express in Calera the first Sunday of December with Granna, my brother and his family minus Grayden who got sick on the way up there and had to go back to Montgomery, and my sister- in-law's mother. We had a great time and the boys loved it.

First Trip to The Plains!

Iron Bowl Saturday we took Baylor up to the Loveliest Village on Plains for his first experience. I know what your thinking Iron Bowl weekend??? Well it ended up being the only Saturday this season that worked out for all three of us. Baylor's social calendar seems to be busier than ours these days.

Our day included a stop by some our sweet friend's tailgate, a ride on the Tiger Transit which I think was Baylor's favorite thing of the day, bounced in the bounce houses, went to Tiger Walk- he passed out right before it started and slept through the whole thing. After Tiger Walk we walked around campus and made some stops at Toomer's Pharmacy for some lemonade, J&M Bookstore, and to Toomer's Corner where we were interviewed about the Toomer's Tree's and Baylor's trip to visit them. The article was in the Montgomery Advertiser the next morning.

Our ( Bay and I) team didn't win, but we had a fun day with special memories made!

We have so much to be thankful for and one of those things is being able to celebrate Thanksgiving with all of your family.

We spent the Saturday before Thanksgiving in Pinson with Jonathan's dad's family and Thanksgving day in Trussville with his mom's. Then we headed back to Montgomery to visit with mine. Trying to fit everyone in during the holidays is tough!! Just glad we got to see them all.

Baylor Turns 2!!

So I started this post over a week ago and I'm just now getting to finish it... On Sunday November 13th our sweet boy turned 2!! We can't believe we have a toddler. These last 2 years have flown by. Jonathan and I are both so very blessed to have Baylor in our lives. It's so hard to even imagine what life was like before he was here.

On his Birthday morning he woke up to balloons in his room. He ended up waking up around 4 that morning to get in the bed with us so when he woke up for good that morning to get up for church we took him in his room to see all his balloons we had waiting on him. We did this for him last year and I think it's a tradition we will keep. He loves it! After he opened a little gift from Mama and Daddy he had his Birthday breakfast- french toast with 2 candle and blueberries (his fav). Then it was time for his Birthday bath which included balloons. We spent his Birthday at church and after church was over our Sunday School Class had our Potluck Thanksgiving Meal in the Youth Center which included good food and good fellowship. After church we headed home for an afternoon nap- all 3 of us. Then for dinner we went to eat Baylor's favorite meal, Mexican with my mom, brother and his family, and my sister-in-law's mother. He was sung to one last time. It was important to us that we make this day for special for him since we had his party the week prior. I think he really enjoyed himself. I know we did.

Here are some Baylor facts at 24 Months:

- He wears a size 8 shoe

-He is in 2T clothes. He wore 24 month longall for maybe 2 weeks and skipped right to 2t.

- Favorite movies/shows- Dumbo (elefnant), Curious George (George George), and Caillou.

-He is in the process of potty training and he loves going potty. I mean seriously he will go several times in a row. Sometimes just a couple drops just so he can go dump it in big potty and flush (plush). He is doing so good. We've got the tee-teeing down. We just have to get the other.

-He is in the "what's that?" and everything is "mine" stage (trying to work on this one).

-He says please (pleeeeease) in the sweetest little voice. Especially when he's trying to get his way.

I guess that is it for now. He goes for his 2 year check up next week so I'll be back to update with his stats.

Last Thursday Baylor had his first dentist appointment and he did great! He didn't get a cleaning this visit, but he will in 6 months. He did great with Dr. David and I practically had to pull him out of the office- he didn't want to leave. He also enjoyed playing with Summer his hygienist who also happens to be his girlfriend's mother.

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo...

Baylor is turning 2!! That was the theme of Baylor's Birthday Party on Saturday. Our sweet boy loves choo choo's so when it was time to start getting ideas together for his 2ND Birthday party that a train theme was the way to go. I think the Birthday Boy had a great time as did everyone else.

I want to say a special thank you to my dear friend Shannon Haveranek. She did the custom invites, stickers, banners, and all paper products for the party. She also helped me out in so many other ways as well. Very thankful for all of her time and help! If your looking for paper products for any special occasions- PaperandPlay.

Our sweet boy was spoiled by our friends and family on Saturday. Thank you to all of you who helped celebrate this special day with our family!

Halloween Weekend!

We had a fun- filled Halloween weekend. Here is our weekend in pictures.

A Fall Sunday Afternoon...

We are loving our busy fall weekends and this past weekend was no different. On Sunday after church we met up with Tracey, Jonathan's sister and some of her friends who were in town from Tennessee for the Auburn game for lunch. Then after lunch we headed home to change real quick and headed out to Union Springs to the Pumpkin Patch. We had a fun, HOT afternoon.

23 Months!

This little man turned 23 months last Thursday...

I know I say it every month and it's so cliche,but man does time fly. We have been busy getting ready for his Birthday Party and its seems like we just had his first.

Some of his new things are jumping. He just figured out how to get both feet off the ground and he thinks it's so much fun. He sings and whispers a lot. He likes to climb and we are trying to brake him of that. He is wearing a size 8 shoe and is beginning to pretty much skip 24 months clothes for 2T. He is really tall. We go back for his 2 year check up at the end of November and I can't wait to hear his estimated adult height. He is so lovable he will stop what he's doing just to come over give a hug and a kiss and be on his way. He enjoys bossing our dog's around. We hear a lot of " No, no, Hank/ Chloe." He truly amazes us daily with things he says or does. This age is so much fun- why can't he stay like this forever?!

I got wonderful new yesterday at Brookwood. My tubes are OPEN and my uterine cavity looks great. That's one less thing we have to worry about. Praise the Lord!!

I was going to try and do some Baylor blog updates today, but I got a call late this afternoon that he woke up from his nap vomiting. A stomach virus is going around at Gin Gin's and looks like he now has it. Please pray for our sweet boy. He is so pitiful. Makes his Mama so sad.

Prayer Request!

Jonathan and I are headed up to Brookwood Women's Hospital in Birmingham today. I will be having a HSG to take a look at my tubes and make sure they have not become blocked since my miscarriage. It should be a pretty quick procedure, but I do remember from a previous one LOTS of cramping.

Please keep us in your prayer as we travel to and from today. I also ask that you pray that my tubes are open and that I will be in as little discomfort as possible. Will update with results soon!

My Birthday Weekend!

I celebrated my 29th Birthday last Weekend (Saturday). We had a busy, fun weekend with family. We went to the fair with my brother and his family and dinner Saturday night with all of my family and Nana and Papa in between all of our "normal" weekend happenings.

We've been really busy around here as usual so once again I'm slacking on my blogging duties. Here are some pictures to show you some of the things we've been up to...

Just a little "baby" update I'm getting ready to start a new protocol this month- pills plus injectables (shots). I'm also getting ready to have my tubes checked again- HSG. Please say a prayer that they are still open. It's been a few years since I've had them checked. Once again thank you all for the continued prayers, messages, emails, calls, letters,and thoughts they truly make this difficult process a little easier to get through with all the love and support.

22 Months!

Baylor turned 22 months a week and I'm just now getting to this post. I've really been slacking at this whole blogging thing lately.

Here are some things our sweet boys is up to:
-Talking all.the.time.
-He is a singer and sings to songs on the tv and in the car.
-He loves our dogs and likes to "walk" Hank around our house with the leash.
-He is hooked on trains or choo choo's whatever he likes to call them.
-He weighed 26.8lbs at his dr. appt last week.
-We just got him back in his bed through the night after having some issues when we had to convert his bed to a toddler bed. Very thankful- we're all getting much better sleep.
-He is such a good eater. LOVES fruits most veggies. He also LOVES Mexican and Italian. He gets that from both Mama and Daddy.
-He has started telling us when he has "pooped". Maybe one day soon he will tell us before he actually does it instead of after.
-He absolutely loves being around other children. Good thing he has a big social circle that keeps him busy.
-He is very independent and likes to do things on his own ex. brushing his teeth, brushing his hair, picking out his own popsicle...

I could go on and on because Baylor is growing and changing everyday. We are so very blessed to have this sweet boy. I thank God daily for choosing us to be his parent's and for me to have the opportunity to carry him.

I received great news at my appointment this morning. I have 1 lead follicle and 2 right behind it that should all 3 contain mature eggs- Praise. My uterine lining also went from 6mm yesterday to 7.5 and on some views could be rounded up to 8mm, which is the number they ideally like to see- Praise.

I really appreciate all you prayer warriors out there. A special thank to those who have kept us in their prayers from the beginning of this journey-round 2. Even though we have not under gone as many medicated cycles, IUI's, or IVF this time around, like last it has been pretty tough at times so your thoughts, prayers, and sweet messages are always being felt.

That's all the fertility talk I have now. Will keep everyone posted! Please continue to PRAY!

If I had not had a miscarriage a few months ago we would be finding out what Baby Cox#2 was going to be around this time-end of September. I have several friends are due the same week I was due so I'm reminded of that when I hear about their big ultrasounds coming up. It such an exciting time for them and me. I love hearing what each of them are having. God is so GOOD to be blessing all these wonderful couple's and families with new lives.

We don't have gender ultrasounds to go to, but trust me I've had my fare share of ultrasounds lately. My body finally decided to get back on track so we could start another round of fertility meds. I had a visit this morning and things seem to be going well. I will return back to clinic in the morning for one last ultrasound this round.

I have a couple prayer requests if you don't mind lifting Jonathan and I up in prayer-

Please pray that my follicles continue to mature over night. I have one that we know is already at maturity and hoping that at least 1 of 2 more can make it.

Please also pray that my uterine lining thickens up a little over night. Right now it's at 6mm and ideally they would like to see it at 8mm. Pregnancy can be achieved with a 6, but we would still like to see it thicken just a little more.

I guess I should also ask that you continue to ask for strength for both Jonathan and I. These treatments can be so stressful at times- physically, emotionally ( I broke down paying my bill this morning), and financially.

I'll be back with a Baylor in the next day or so! He is keeping us busy and on our toes and we love every minute of it!!

Labor Day Beach Trip '11

Last Thursday we were going back and fourth about cancelling our Labor Day beach trip. I was leaning more towards moving it back, but Jonathan thought it would still be a good weekend to go down despite Tropical Storm, Lee. I'm glad we ended up heading down first thing Friday morning because we had a great trip. It was warm and humid, but we had lots of wind and it felt awesome!

This trip we were really amazed by how familiar Baylor has become with our common stops down along 30A and it was so fun to see him get excited when he remembered certain and places and things. We look forward to many more summers down on the gulf with our sweet boy. This summer has been so much fun and so many special memories were made.

Quick Update!

Just wanted to update everyone from my last post. I went back to the doctor last Tuesday because I had been in more discomfort and just wanted to see what was going on with my cyst. My ultrasound showed that it had grown from 5cm on the following Friday to 7cm. I was prescribed some pain meds and told what to do if I experienced a great amount of pain. After the appointment I went to work and felt fine. Well after picking up Bay that afternoon and getting home all of that changed very quickly. Won't bore you with tons of details, but my cyst ruptured and I was on the ground in pain, tears, and fear. I got in touch with Jonathan called my doctor in Birmingham (it was after hours) and waited to hear back as to what I needed to do. The on- call nurse advised me to go to the ER since I was already in tremendous pain. As we arrived at the hospital my doctor called and told me that the ER really wouldn't be able to to do anything besides an evaluation and give me a pain shot so after discussing everything with her I went home and finally after 3 pain pills I was finally getting relief.

The following day I went back for an ultrasound to see exactly what happened the night before and that is when it was confirmed that my cyst had ruptured. It was back down to 5cm so it still had more "leaking" to do. I was told to continue my meds and stay off my feet as much as possible. I'm feeling so much better. It was very scary when it happened so fast. The worst part was that I was home alone with Baylor when it happened so I was trying not to upset him,but I know I had him worried. He walked up to me while I was on my knees leaning over the couch crying and he wiped my face with his lovie a few times. It was the absolute sweetest thing. He took such good care of me until Jonathan got home.

That same I was in for the ultrasound I had a video conference with my doctor. We discussed mainly the cyst. One thing she did say is that these type of cyst are very common in women with early aging ovaries- yep there goes that lovely term again. It took everything I had not to break down during the rest of appointment, but I made it. If not pregnant this cycle I will not take meds the next cycle. My ovary needs to get back down to it's "normal" size. I was reminded that rebound cycles- break cycles after medicated cycles have a higher percentage of pregnancy rates than if no meds were ever taken. We are a true testament to that statistic- Baylor was conceived on a rebound cycle. I also will be having another HSG ( dye test to check tubes) if not pregnant this cycle to make sure my tubes are open. If next cycle is also unsuccessful we will go back to clomid,but I will begin it a day earlier. So that's "our" plan for now. We know that God has his own plans and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us. We are very blessed with a faithful God who has been with us every step of the way. Guiding us along the path he wants us to take. To God be the Glory-always!

Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Specifically that my ovary returns to it's healthy size, strength, and guidance.

I'm off the whole week with Baylor this week so hopefully I will do a better job at blogging or at least add some pictures of our sweet boy. We're heading down to the beach on Friday morning with my mom to kick off Labor Day weekend and we are all so excited to get back down there for one more summer trip. Oh and of course the kick off to college football. WAR EAGLE!!

Cyst Update

My ultrasound this morning showed that my cyst has grown from 3.6cm on Wednesday to 5 cm today. They ordered some lab work on me. They seem to be really confused by this cycle as well. The term "age related" was brought up once again- not what I want to keep hearing. I do know for sure if this cycle is unsuccessful I will not be able to take any meds next month. I've been told my body needs a break.

Please continue to pray that if it's the Lord's will we will conceive this cycle. Please also pray that my ovaries are not maturing prematurely. Also please pray for peace for us during all of this. I have found it seems to be harder the second time around. I definitely did not expect it,but have been told by other women it was also harder for the second time around as well. We are so very blessed and thankful for our sweet miracle, Baylor. We are being reminded daily just how much of a miracle he is. He definitely keeps me going. We know he will be a wonderful big brother. He loves babies!

...was kind enough to deliver this to my doorstep right on time today...

Too bad as of yesterday afternoon I no longer will need to take my HCG injection this weekend. I had a early follicle check and blood work done yesterday. I honestly wasn't expecting to be in until Friday at the earliest, but my body had other ideas. I finished my last clomid pill on Tuesday and based on my blood work yesterday it looks as though my body decided to go ahead and release an egg SUPER early. The good news is I'm still ovulating. This has never been a problem. Finger's crossed it never becomes one. The bad news is ovulating this early with meds or without meds is not what you want to happen. It is a very good sign of premature aging of ovaries/eggs. I wrote about this being a concern for my doctor based on how early I ovulated last month on another drug. I have an appointment with her again to discuss what happens next if this cycle fails and hope to get some answers. I've had some other things going on with my body over the last week that have left me with some question I'm ready to hopefully get some answers too. These "things" could be a result of my miscarriage a couple months ago so it may not be that abnormal. I think I will fell so much better after speaking with my doctor.

I also found out yesterday that my cyst that was discovered last week has grown from 2.7 cm to 3.6cm. I will return to ART in the morning for another ultrasound this time not for my normal follicle check,but to see what my cyst is doing. If it continues to grow there will be some options on what to do next for it so it doesn't get so big that it injuries my ovary-permanently. I will update after I get the results on it tomorrow.

There is still a chance of pregnancy this cycle so please keep us in your prayers, that if it's God will we will become pregnant this cycle.

21 Months

In 3 short months my sweet boy will be 2 years old!! This age is so much fun, but at the same time I hate how fast time passes. He is still the sweetest, cutest, funniest little boy I've ever put my eyes on.

Here are some things Bay is up to:

It's been a week and a half since we converted his crib in to a toddler crib and his is not adjusting well. We think he may be having nightmares and wakes up screaming every night. It breaks our heart to see him like that. If any of you have any tips please send them my way.

Any time it's time to get out of the car. He HAS to sit up front for a minute. Of course if he's in the driver's seat he wants these keys and will ask for them.

He is going through the bashful stage. He use to not mind strangers coming up to him now a lot of times he just puts his head down, finger's in mouth, or even covers his face with his hands.

When we see babies he says "Baby" and when he see's toddler or children a little older he also calls them baby. HAHA

He can count to 4! He counts to 2 all the time and go... 1,2, GO! He gets that from his daily races with his buddies at Gin Gin's.

He names the animal noises when you call them out which is done for a while now, but his pig sound is seriously one of the cutest sounds I've ever heard. Oh and I also ask him "What does Baylor say?" his response is Mama- yep I taught him that!

When we ask if him if he's ready for be he will crawl up to one of our pillows lay his head down and starts snoring. He is so funny!

He has been calling Chloe ( Clo Clo) "KeKe." It cracks me up when I hear him say it.

He weighed 26.8lb as his doctor appointment last week. It was another sick visit- viral with ulcers on the throat, but he's doing just fine now.

I use to carry Baylor in every morning to Gin Gin's now he likes to walk up the driveway and in her house by himself.

He knows a few of our "regular" stops and voices them. Target he says "Ball" before we even drive up past them. Storkland/The Name Dropper he says "Choo Choo" when he pass by it and he gets upset if we don't stop. Granna's he knows before we pull up where we are and starts kicking his legs saying "Granna" and a bunch of other stuff we're not sure he's saying.

There are some of the cute things he's doing these days. It's amazing how fast they change and learn things. I'm going to leave you with a few pictures of him down at my Grandparent's (Bay's Great- Granny and Great- Papa's land last weekend.

Little Update!

I know I have been slacking big time on blogging about our treatments. I've honestly felt completely defeated. This last cycle was such an emotional one for me. Everything that could gone wrong did- only one good follicle (which I guess isn't horrible), ovulating super early, low progesterone even with progesterone support, my uterine lining was thinner than what the doctor's like to see it at for a good implantation, horrible side effects, and of course a failed cycle.

We are now moving on with another round of treatment, but going back to my old meds (clomid) at an increased dose. Here's to a cycle with better results even if it doesn't result in a pregnancy- it as to be better than the last go round.

Sorry for the Debbie Downer post, but for those of you read my blog bc your going through treatments too, I wanted to post a little update.

I'm so glad it's the weekend and going to take full advantage of having my Hubby home before fall classes start back Monday evening. Only one semester left after this one. So proud of him!

I was a host for one of my bestie's shower's today, Linds who just adopted sweet baby Easton. I also had another baby shower I was going to have to miss already due to timing with both showers. I hope Lauren had a wonderful time celebratin Baby Henry's upcoming arrival. We were suppose to end the night tonight at my 10 year HS reunion at the Biscuit's game. I even went and bought a cute new outfit to wear. Sigh...Hoping to make it out of the house tomorrow.

Toddler Bed!

Sunday evening when we returned home from the beach we (Jonathan) converted Bay's bed to a toddler bed due to the "incident" that happened before we left. I'll be honest we were very concerned about how we were going to get him to stay in bed now that we were making it so easy for him to get out. Here is how the first night went. We put him down around his normal bedtime and less than 5 minutes later I hear his door knob turn he walks out and heads right into his playroom. We then decided to wait until he was asleep to put him back in there. This called for a much later bedtime. What child wouldn't want to hang out in Mommy and Daddy's bed as long as they could before just passing out because they couldn't fight it anymore?! Baylor! After he was good and asleep we put him back in there with a child- proofed door knob and never heard a peep out of him the rest of the night. Jonathan had to wake him up the next morning which isn't a new thing, but he stood up and held his arms up. I guess he completely forgot that he had easy exit right there in front of him.

The next 3 nights we decided to let him fall asleep and put him in his bed. Again he's been going to bed much later now. He did great! Last night we decided to try putting him bed awake to see how he does. A few minutes pass and he flips his bedroom light on with the help of his pottery barn chair. Then we hear him going through his drawers. Daddy gets in there first to find him trying to put his Thomas undies on over his jammies- HA! He had one leg in and was getting ready to work on the other. He cracks us up. I wish I had taken a picture, but didn't get to it in time.

I guess the good thing is he's not screaming or crying not wanting to be in bed alone. It's just he has a lot more things now that he could be doing rather than sleeping, so he get's up and does them. I'm really hoping we get to the point where we can put him down while he's awake and if he gets up for a few minutes will climb back up there when he gets tired enough. I guess this problem is a much better problem to have than one sleeping in our bed. I have friends that are trying to break that habit now and I've heard it's VERY difficult.

If anyone has any tips on helping him adjust to toddler bed please pass them along! We definitely were not expecting to have him in a toddler bed so soon.He's growing up so much faster than his Mommy and Daddy want him too.

July Beach Trip!

We got back from the beach on Sunday afternoon. We had a great trip down with Papa, Aunt Tracey, Emma, and Aunt Tracey's friend, Julie. Nana wasn't able to make this trip down and she was missed. This is the first time in SEVERAL years that we have stayed in Panama City. Papa is able to get 2 of the company condos each year. We always stay in the Destin condo, but this is the first time staying in PC. The place was nice with a lot to do. Panama City has done a good job at trying to make the city a more family friendly area and it's definitely better than it was. I don't anything could ever come close to our Family of 3's favorite spot 30A or Destin. We ended up headed down to 30A 2 different times and of course had a wonderful time.

This sweet, handsome little man scared his Mommy to death tonight. I had just put him in his crib turned my back to get his blanket out of his glider and all I hear is bam. I turned around to see my sweet baby layed out on his back in the floor. I have no clue how he did it so fast, but my guess is that he wasn't trying to actually get out, but leaned over the front of his crib too far, lost his balance and there he went. Either way it is time for his toddler rail to go up. Over the past couple weeks he has tried stepping on his bumper to boost himself up, but I'm not so sure that is what happened tonight. I'm just glad I was right there to get him. I'm still shaken up by the whole. Bless his heart- it scared him too.

Hope everyone had a good week and will have an even better weekend! We (Bay and I) kicked off our weekend by having a lazy day at home today. We'll be in Birmingham tomorrow morning. Then hoping to relax with some sun, fun, and water. We're gearing up for another beach trip next week and we CANNOT wait. The beach never gets old. So if this weekend wants to speed on by- we won't complain.

I ended up back at ART Friday morning for baseline blood work (FSH-follicle stimulating hormone, LH-luteinizing hormone, and E2-estrogen) and a baseline ultrasound. All of my hormones were in normal range and my ultrasound looked good with at least 15 antral follicles on each ovary, no ovarian cysts, and a good uterine lining. All this means that my body is ready to start meds which I will do this Monday. Another perk of Letrazole (femara) other than a decrease in all the side effects is it cost under $5.00- Hallelujah!

If I don't have any problems next week my next appointment will be next Saturday morning at 8:15 in the Birmingham office. Yep that means we'll be up and on the road bright and early. The Montgomery office is closed on the weekends so if any of my monitoring days fall on the weekend we must head to Brookwood Hospital (main ART location).

20 Months!

Our Sweet Boy turned 20 months yesterday. Is he really going to be 2 in 4 short months?! Sigh! He is such a sweet, loving, silly, strong-willed, handsome (and pretty) little boy. We just love him so much. I could never come close to describing how much he means to both me and his Daddy.

Here We Go Again...

As promised here is a little recap from my 3 1/2 hour appointment with my fertility doctor from ART:

1. Physical Exam- Had not even crossed my mind that I would have to have an exam today, but I did. They took some samples for a few test and said everything looked and felt ok.

2. Meeting with the Doctor- She went over our previous treatments, tests, and surgeries. Then we we started to talk about trying to conceive this go around- trying for 9 months with 2 rounds of clomid and the last one being successful ending in a miscarriage.
- Her first recommendation was for us to switch from the Clomid to Letrazole (Femara). Her
reasoning was the minimal side effects of femara opposed to clomid (less hot flashes,
moodiness, thinning of the uterine lining, and another you don't want me to get in to on
here.

-I will start it Cycle Day 5 of THIS cycle!! This made me one very happy girl, to hear we do not
have to wait to start trying again.

- I will go in anytime between CD 1 and CD 4 for some pre labs and ultrasound this will help
determine one BIG concern she has in regards to my eggs. Based on my history and the way
I responded to my IVF cycle there is a question regarding my eggs aging prematurely. I
seriously thought I was going to lose it when she said that today for the first time. On top of
possibility of them aging early- the quality may not be good of the eggs I am producing. Again
very scary for someone my age, but the good thing my age is on my side even if the results
aren't great. She asked today how many children we wanted and she thought our number was
perfect! :)

3. After meeting with Dr.H. I moved on to the lab for blood work. I will get those results tomorrow. The only two things being tested today was my thyroid and a pregnancy test to make sure my hormones have come back down. I will go back in later this week or next for more labs- fasting insulin, CBC, and CMP.

4.Then finally I met with nursing who went over my calendar and what days I need to come in and what to do on each cycle day- labs, ultrasound, meds, trigger shot, ovulation tests, progesterone, etc.

I hate Jonathan couldn't make the appointment. He was missed by the sweet ladies at ART. We are very pleased and ready to start trying again. Thank you again for all the prayers. They are being felt!

How Great is Our God!

In the midst of our sadness yesterday was also such an exciting time for us. The long awaited arrival of a sweet little Miracle, Easton James Wagner! Lindsey and I have been friends since childhood and have continued our friendship through our school years, pledging Alpha Gam together, being in each other's weddings, and also going through infertility together.

If you ever gone through fertility struggles you come to realize that unless someone has gone through the same struggle - it's hard for them to relate. Thankfully the Lord brought Linds and I through our struggles at the same time. We talked, compared treatments and diagnosis', vented, cried, and rejoiced over the birth of Baylor and now the birth of Easton. Jonathan and I are so blessed to have the Wagner's in our life. On a little side note- I would like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to comment me on FB, message me, text, and pray for us during this time. As I mentioned last night I really struggled with knowing if coming out with something so personal was the right thing to do. After hearing from so many of you: those who have also suffered a miscarriage(s), those who are suffering from infertility and reminded me last night how much of an inspiration I was for opening up, and those that just wanted to pray for us -really helped confirm my decision to share our loss.

Tomorrow morning is my appointment with my Fertility Doctor from ART. I will try and post an update tomorrow evening. I'm returning to work tomorrow after being out a week. Please continue to pray for strength and comfort for me as I return to my "normal" schedule.

A Loss..

I've gone back and fourth on whether or not I should post this on our blog, but believe I've been very open along the way to conceive Baylor so I thought I should do the same now. Jonathan and I have been trying to conceive again since Baylor's first Birthday. So many people said I bet it will happen fast this time around- not exactly true. We've been trying for 9 months with the last two cycles on Clomid. We were very blessed to find out last weekend that our 2nd round was a success. You couldn't wipe the grins off our faces. We made a little shirt for Baylor to where told my Mom and brother's family in person and sent a text to Jonathan's family with Bay wearing his Big Bro shirt along with one of my favorite scriptures... "From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another." John 1:16 Well the the excitement of it all suddenly came to a stop on Tuesday, when I went in for lab work. I got a call around lunch time that my HCG (Beta) was low along with my progesterone. I was told to stop my progesterone supplements and come back in on Thursday to make sure my numbers were back down to zero. We were devastated. I went back in and to every one's surprise my HCG doubled and my progesterone increased a little. I was told to start back my progesterone and increase it and come back Monday. Well today was followed by crushing news again. I am indeed having a miscarriage. Even though we've had a roller coaster of a week, it didn't make it any easier.

This is our first lost. We've dealt with the pain of infertility, but never a lost- until now. We thank God daily for our beautiful gift, Baylor. Jonathan and I thank him even more now. I think having Bay helps cope with the pain. He really can bring a smile to my face no matter the amount of pain I'm going through.

I met with a fertility doctor from Mobile a few weeks before finding out I was pregnant and also have a consult with my doctor from ART this Wednesday. I've had this appointment scheduled for over a month. Funny how God's timing works out! I will keep everyone posted on what her recommendations are for us moving on. I can tell you without a doubt we are ready to try again ASAP.

If any of you have suffered a miscarriage and have any useful information you would like to pass on- I'm all ears. Please keep us in your prayers as we cope with the loss of our baby.

Prayers for Chloe!

This sweet old lady needs your prayers!

Yesterday morning we noticed she was walking with her back leg extended out and walking on the top part of her foot instead of her paw pad. Which is called knuckling. It's a neurological sign that something isn't right. A sweet friend of mine came to the house and picked her up to take her to the clinic so I could finish feeding Baylor and getting both of us dressed. The vet said her back seemed to be pretty sore so they gave her a pain injection and did some back x-rays. The x-rays shocked Dr. S because she has never seen vertebrae shaped the way 2 of them were. It has to be a congenital problem she was born with and is just now having swelling around them causing her problems. I ended up being able to bring her home on steroids and some pain medication. If she is not better in 3 days she has to go back and it is likely back surgery will be the next recommendation.

The pain medication seems to be keeping her comfortable which we are very thankful for. We ask that you please keep her in your prayers. Pray that we can continue to control her pain and that the swelling in her back does down so that we can avoid back surgery.

Last night was the first night she did not sleep under the sheets at my feet and I missed her- the licking and all. :)

Father's Day 2011

I never imagined being blessed with a husband who is so hands on and such a wonderful father to our son, as Jonathan is. He's amazing- he never complains when I need his help and is always willing to do whatever. Baylor is just crazy about him too!

We spent our Father's Day Sunday in town since Papa was sick. We had a very laid back day which was SO nice to enjoy the holiday just the 3 of us for the first part of the day- not rushed to be anywhere at any certain time. Don't you love days like that?! We ended the day with a cookout at the pool. Then a trip to the cemetery.

I can't do a post on Father's Day without expressing how much my Daddy was/is missed. We are doing our best to teach Baylor about him. Visiting at the cemetery is still something that can't be done without tears, but Father's Day it really got to me. When we were leaving Baylor waved bye bye to Grandpa and blew him a kiss. Such a sweet innocent moment by Baylor that we got to witness.

Last and not least I would like to wish Papa a Happy Father's Day! Hope you got lots of rest and are feeling a lot better!

19 Months!

This sweet, handsome, silly, loving little boy turned 19 months on Monday and his Mama and Daddy still can't believe it!

Baylor is at such a fun stage here are some fun Baylor Facts:

- He weighs 26lbs
-He's wears 24 Months clothes and a size 6 in shoes
-His favorite things at the moment are (still)- water, trains, balls, outside, and dogs.
- As you can in the picture above he loves wearing our shoes. He goes in our closet and puts on a pair all the time.
- He has a mouth full of teeth!
-He's had 4 haircuts since he was 12 1/2 months- He can grow some hair!
-He loves children. Especially his nephews and niece (wish she lived closer).
-If he see's a baby anywhere he says "baby" in the softest, cutest voice. He even carries his newborn pictures around saying baby. We tell him it's him, but he has no clue what we're talking about- we think.
-He learned to jump in the pool while down at the beach our last trip down. This may make Mama worry a little more at the pool. He's so brave!

I could go on and on. Jonathan and I are so very blessed to have this sweet boy.

Cox Family Beach Trip '11

We just back from another great 5 days at the beach. We head down to Destin every summer with Jonathan's parent's (Nana and Papa), his sister, Tracey, and our niece Emma. We had great weather, pretty water, lots of sun, and good food. Everything the beach should be! On our last night we headed down for a stay in Seagrove where Jonathan, Bay, and I usually stay.

Last Monday the day before we headed down the beach I had to take Baylor in to the doctor because he had pink eye, along with two other's from daycare. The 3 of them had a play date that Friday prior and I'm pretty sure they all caught it then. While at his visit Dr. M told me to keep a close watch eye on him because he was having a runny nose and red throat and his ears may be right behind them. Well he was right- Baylor did not sleep or eat well the whole trip. Totally out of character for him. We had to get his Ped to call him in some meds which we were so thankful for.

18 Month Check Up!

"Boo Boo" Not a happy camper after his shot.

Baylor had his 18 Month Check Up on Monday and here are his stats:

Weight: 25lb (40%)

Height: 33 1/2in (Top 15%)

Head Circumference: 17 1/2 or 19 1/2 (90%) Baylor got a hold of his stat sheet and decided to color on it so I can't tell if it's 17 or 19. He sure loves to color, draw, etc...

Based on his stats right now he's average for weight even though he's only in the 40th percentile, Dr. M said he's OK with it. He said at his 2 year check up they will guess-estimate his height as an adult. If he continues on like he's going he will be at least 6ft. He's going to be tall like his Daddy, Dr. M says.

Baylor is a healthy boy. We're just dealing with some allergies. He is now on Singular and Zyrtec daily. We're hoping this does the job. His eczema is also not where we would like it to be, but we're hoping that he grows out of it soon. Until then we will continue with his daily ointment.

Baylor was very happy to hear that he will not have to get anymore shots until he is 4 years old! Now finger's crossed we can stay out of the Ped's until his 2 year Check Up in November!

Annual May Beach Trip!

We spent this past weekend here in:

We had a great trip! We had PERFECT weather the whole time. The water was so clear, pretty calm, and the water was just warm enough for us to get in. When we first planned the trip for this year it was just going to be the 3 of us, but we ended up asking my Mom, brother's and nephews to join us and I'm glad we did. Baylor had so much fun playing with his cousins. He just loves those boys to pieces.

We were a little worried about how Bay would react to sand this trip. When we were down in February he was not a fan at all. Since then we've put him in every sandbox we've come across trying to get him prepared for beach season. Thankfully I think that and the fact that his nephews were running around playing in it helped a lot. Now I wouldn't go as far as saying his a huge fan of the sand, but he did seem to enjoy himself. He liked jumping the waves more than anything- which kind of shocked us. He's a true beach boy at heart- already!

Now we're trying to get back to our normal routine and counting down until we head back down with Nana, Papa, Aunt Tracey, and cousin Emma in just 15 days. Bring on the Beach!

Tomorrow May 20th Jonathan and I will celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. We are heading down to the beach first thing in the morning so I thought I would go ahead and do a little anniversary post. Our first anniversary we went to Cabo San Lucas and every year since then we've gone down to Seagrove or Seaside and this year is no different.

I'm very blessed to have Jonathan in my life. He is such a loving, giving, hands-on daddy and husband, and such a hard worker- working full time and going to school at night to get his 2ND degree. We are truly are best friends. Love you, Babe! Can't wait to see what this next year has in store for us!

I also wanted to mention that Jonathan are lucky to share our anniversary with my parent's. They would've been celebrating their 39th anniversary tomorrow.

Jonathan's parent's just celebrated their 38th anniversary a couple days ago as well. It's a big week of anniversaries for all us around here!

A lot of our weekends are now filled with Children's Birthday Parties and we are having so much fun attending all of them. I think the parent's enjoy them as much as the kiddos. Last Saturday we went to Coleman's train party. His Mama, Shannon did such a great job with everything. She is so creative and did his invitations, banners, and little sticker and tags for the party favors and food.

We look forward to all he parties we have coming up. It's funny how life changes from wedding showers and weddings (which we still have some) to baby showers and birthday parties. It's such a fun transition for us all!

Our sweet boy turned 18 Months on Friday. Are some things he is up to:

-Talking non stop. Seems like he picks up new words daily.
-He started counting to 2!
-He loves the "Wa Wa" still. It doesn't care if it's the "baf baf," pool, hose, or pond. He loves it!
-He can tell you what the cow, duck, dog, cat, and chicken say.
-On top of talking he sings a lot, at home and in the car.
-My favorite part of the day is when he wants to be still in mine or Daddy's arms right before he goes to bed.
-He gives the best wrap around hugs and sweetest kisses.
I could go on and on. It really does seem like he changes more and more everyday. His Daddy and I couldn't be more proud of our sweet boy!

Mother's Day!

Being a Mother is the most rewarding, exciting, fun, important, and tiring job I've ever had and I could never truly explain the feeling I get when I hear the word "Mama" come from Baylor's sweet lips. I am so very blessed that God chose ME to be Baylor's Mommy. I thank HIM daily for my sweet boy and will forever continue to.

I'm very blessed with a wonderful Mama who is always caring, loving, and unselfish when it comes to her children, family, and friends. If that wasn't good enough I also have a Mother-In-Law who is all those things too. All three of us are lucky to have each one of you in our lives.

I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day- being spoiled or spoiling all the Mommies in your life! I had a great Mother's Day with my two boys. I woke up to my sweet baby boy in bed with me with a sweet little gift he "made" for me and some other goodies. We started our day at church, lunch, and finished it with a stop by Granna's to drop off her gift that Baylor made for her. Jonathan had one last final the following Tuesday so we weren't able to make it up to Birmingham to visit with his Mom and family. Hopefully it won't be that long before we are all able to visit again.

And on Mother's Day, I also prayed for the woman who are longing for a baby to hold of their own. I pray that they never give up on the desire the has Lord placed in their hearts to become a Mom. God is faithful!

Baylor is starting to go through a little separation anxiety and last Sunday he started crying as soon as we walked through the door at church. He knew where we were and was not having it. He ended up staying with Mama and Daddy in their Worship Care Class. The kids in there are only about 6 months older than him, but he looks their age or older. Tall boy!

A Day of Prayer

The devastation that happened to our great state on April 27, 2011 is so hard to even wrap my head around. Please continue to pray for the all the families, friends, and neighbors that lost loved one's during the April 27th tornadoes. Please continue to pray for those who survived, but lost everything. The way that not only our state has come together, but from all over the United States is unbelievable. I pray that God's grace continues to shine through.

We are still recovering from the busy Easter weekend, but it was so much fun. Easter morning we got up and let Baylor see all his things from the Easter bunny. We think he loved everything. He seems to REALLY like his golf clubs and his new bunny that sings " Little Bunny Foo Foo." After a little family time we got dressed for church. We ended up running a late thanks to 2 trips back to the house for things we forgot... When we finally made it, it was right in between the time of Sunday School starting and Worship so we decided to take some pictures in the gardens before heading in to Worship. We had a wonderful service from the music to the message. After a bite to eat when stopped by Granna's to get Baylor's Easter goodies from her. Once he again he was spoiled with bubbles, a foam ball gun, and some other fun things. Next up was nap time for Baylor and his Mommy and Daddy before ending our day at the park for one last Easter egg hunt with his cousins, Tab, Meribeth, and Granna.

I hope all of you had a Happy Easter as well with loved one's!

On Saturday morning we headed right down the road to Pike Road to attend our Church's Easter Egg Hunt for all the Preschool children. Baylor was not quite 6 months last Easter so this was our first time going. We had a such a fun morning of egg hunting, playing on the swing set, playing in the sand, watching the big children take turns riding the horse, going on a hayride, and visiting with some sweet friends and meeting new one's.

Saturday afternoon Jonathan and I decided we would try to take our sweet (still sick) little boy to see the Easter Bunny. With Jonathan in school every night and next weekend already booked up this was our only chance, so we went for it. Well it went about as well as our last Santa visit...not good. This mama got to sit with the Easter Bunny this year for the first time in years. As you can tell from the picture getting a good pic with him not screaming, looking at the camera, and me with my eyes OPEN wasn't the easiest, but at least we have a Bunny Pic from our baby's 2ND Easter.

17 Months!

Baylor turned 17 months yesterday. I can't believe next month my baby will be a year and a half. He is so much fun at this stage and at times a handful, but I wouldn't try the stage for anything. He has been sick this week. I got a call Monday afternoon from Gin Gin that he was running a fever. I took him in to see his Ped on Tuesday morning after a restless night and a higher temp. He had a strep test, flu test, and blood work done because of his high temp. Thankfully everything came back normal except for his WBC which goes along with a viral infection. He was so pitiful even falling asleep in the exam room- that never happens. Dr. M ordered switching up Tylenol and Motrin, dimetapp if needed at night for cough, and lots of TLC. I must admit I've enjoyed all this extra cuddle time with my baby. I think he's given me just as much TLC as I have him, if not more. Here are some things are Baylor is up to at 17 months: -He is always on the go if it's walking/running or dancing. Even if he's sitting still in my lap, his chair, or carseat if a song comes on he likes he kicks his little feet around. It's so cute! -We have been listening to one of his CD's in the car lately that has a lot of familiar children's songs on it and he has started "singing" along with the CD and me. -When a song ends he puts his hands up the air, claps, ans says YAAAAY! -If he's thirsty he will bring us his cup and say juice. -His answer to everything is NO. Even if we know he wants something he still says no. He says it in very different tones too. Sometimes including a head shake. -His feet are growing so fast. He was in a 5 or 5W depending on the shoe and Mama's about to have go get some size 6 shoes to make it through the summer. -He is wearing 18 and 24 months. I'm mostly only buying 24 months since he's so tall. We usually have our problem in the stride being to tight. - He finally moved up to size 4 diapers a couple weeks ago. -He has 12 teeth now! This is my second post in one day and my 4th this week. I'm on a roll!

Two years ago today my Daddy went to be with the Lord, yep 17 years and 2 days after my sister. He is missed so much. There are still so many questions I think we all have about how things happened so fast. He had a short battle with cancer - 3 months. I try to remind myself that the questions I have don't really need to be answered. All that matters is that he is free from pain and home again in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior and his daughter.

Until we're together again Love and miss you - always!

Happy 10th Birthday to our 4 -legged Princess! Poor girl is starting to real show signs of age on her physically, but seems to be pretty healthy. She definitely has taken a back seat as well as Hank since Baylor arrived, but I'm sure they understand. They all 3 seem to get along just fin!

Today 17 years ago my sister went to be with the Lord after her 6 month battle with bone cancer. It doesn't seem right saying 17 yeas ago. It feels like it was yesterday. I remember everything as if it was yesterday. I think about her all the time - about what she would be doing now at the age of 30 and I think about things we did before she passed. She truely was a special person not just to our family,but to so many. Love you and miss you always, Ashley! Your were the BEST Big Sis!

Two weekends ago we headed to Zoo Weekend along with every other person in Montgomery. WOW! I'm not sure we will make it that weekend again. I think Baylor looks like a little angel! I caught him on our coffee table a couple weeks ago. He used his pottery barn chair to boost himself up there. He was so proud of himself and said "cheese" when I walked in and caught him. Our sweet friends Lindsey and Jarrod bought Baylor a Baylor Bear's shirt and football. He loves them! Coloring one Friday morning... He tried touching the turtle He liked sitting in the firetruck! Getting tired. Duck! And he was out before we made it to the car.
