Beautiful Saturday!

This past weekend was so nice. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and took Baylor to the zoo. He had a lot of fun and it we had a good time watching him take it all in!

We even sat outside to eat dinner at Mellow Mushroom!

We are looking forward to spring so we can spend a lot more time outdoors. Baylor loves it!

I'm going to try and do a little better job at blogging, but life is so busy. Jonathan and I both work. Then I'm home at night by myself with Bay while Daddy is in class. That gives me a little "excuse", right?!

A Saturday Visit!

Nana and Papa came in town yesterday to visit. We sat around the house a little while then went to dinner. Here a few pictures from their visit!

Someone is getting sleepy...

Hope everyone had a great weekend. We're getting ready to start a new week around here. Hoping it doesn't include a doctor's visit. Baylor has been fussy all weekend and not sleeping well. He also has a cough and runny nose. Hoping it doesn't get worse than a little cold. Fingers crossed!

14 Months!

Baylor turned 14 months last Thursday. He is changing so much Every.Single.Day. It's amazing how much you can love someone, but I have to say our love for him grows daily. He's such a special, sweet, silly, strong-willed, and handsome baby! We are very blessed to have him in our lives!!

I did a little update on him last week, but here a few more "Baylor Facts" :

-He weighs around 23 lbs (based on our scale with Daddy holding him).
-He is growing out of his 12 months clothes in the length.
-He is such a good eater. He really loves fruits. I don't think I've found one he doesn't like. I think Blueberries, bananas, and strawberries are his fav!
-He loves being around other children. He has so much fun playing with them. I was even holding one of the babies at daycare last week thinking, oh no he might not like this, but he walked over smiled and gave the sweet baby a kiss. This makes Mommy and Daddy happy since we would like siblings for our sweet boy...
-Daycare-he started another in-home daycare that is 5 mins from my work and only a little over 5 minutes from Jonathan's. We knew people who have used her in the past and highly recommended her and we know 2 children that stay with her now. So far he loves it and so do we.
-Mrs. Virginia (Gin Gin), Baylor's new nanny tells me everyday that he talks and is on the go all.day.long.
-Speaking of talking his vocabulary is growing: Mama, Dada, dog, ball, bye, hey, thank you, no, there you go (we haven't heard him say it, but Gin said her repeated it twice the other day), Hank, cheese, he's said "Granna" a few times too, Duck, outside, and I think that's it for today!
-He blows kisses, waves, barks, and stomps his feet dancing.
-Some of your favorite things right now are your fridge magnets, wagon, cozy coupe, ball, and books.

Fun Facts Friday!

A couple weeks ago I realized I never did a 13 month post for Bay. Shame on me! I thought I would do a little post about some fun things Baylor is now doing.

-He takes his socks off almost every night when we put him to bed so we started waiting til he falls asleep to go in and put them on him. We didn't do that the other night and we watched him on the monitor take his socks off. Then he tried so hard and for so long to put them back on. That was a first!

-He loves his crib. He sits in there before and after naps/bedtime and plays with toys or runs back in forth. We get a kick out of watching him!

-We have a dogie door in our kitchen which he learned to use for himself last week. That's another story! Those of you that have dogie doors know that they come with a slide in door to close when you would like. I guess he has seen us watch it because today he picked up the "slide in" and went over to the door and tried to lock it like we do. It's amazing how they pick up on little things like this. We rarely ever lock it!

-Doorknobs! Today was the first day I've seen him walk up to the front door and grab the doorknob. I think it's time to baby proof those too!

-He now has 7 teeth and any minute his 8th should be cutting!

-He is really into curious George now, along with his other faves Mickey and Praise Baby!

-He's starting to climb on things boxes, toys, in the fridge, etc... Scary!
