20 Weeks Ultrasound and Appointment!

Jonathan and I went first thing this morning for our 20 week anatomy scan- even though we already knew the gender we couldn't wait to see our sweet boy and see that he was healthy. Praise the Lord- his heart, kidneys, and everything looked normal and healthy. Brewer's heart rate was 131 and he weighed in at 13oz. He was active the entire ultrasound up until the last 2 minutes. Getting measurements and a good look at his face was difficult for our tech, but she finally got what she wanted and we all enjoyed a good Brewer show! Another HUGE praise is that my placenta previa has corrected itself. This means no bed rest for me the rest of my pregnancy, no c- section as of now, and it gives us a much better piece of mind about the pregnancy. I have had a lot of anxiety this time around. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before, but I'm guessing it has to be due to our miscarriage last summer and I'm sure how difficult it is for us to conceive. I'm hoping I can finally start to enjoy this pregnancy. I'm feeling great so no need not to.

As far as I go I've gained 3lbs- total for this pregnancy. Not sure how bc I feel so big,but everyone is telling me I'm carrying a lot higher. I think their right because I feel so out of breath and I never felt like this with Baylor. My blood pressure was 125/75- awesome. For those of who have followed my blog throughout my pregnancy with Baylor may remember I had blood pressure issues with Baylor. So this is another huge praise for us. I return in 4 weeks for what may be last or second to last monthly appointment. Time is flying!

Please continue to keep Baby Brewer and Me in your prayers. We've had so many sweet friends and family praying for us up until now each and every prayer has been felt.

Please also keep me in your prayers I start my new job in the morning. First new job in almost 11 years- scary, but I'm so ready and thankful for this opportunity the Lord has provided me and my family with.

Now for some Brewer pictures...

Baylor!

Thought I would do a little update on our sweet and silly boy!

Here are some of the funny things he's been saying-

"Cathle (castle)" When we pull up to church on Sundays. He's does know it's church, but I guess he think it looks like a castle. And he's right the old santuary does look like a castle.

Speaing of church- He.loves.it.
He talks about it all the time. Some mornings on the way to Gin Gin's he ask to go. It makes his Mommy and Daddy so happy to hear the joy in his voice when talks about church.

"I hold you, Mama" He tells me this when he wants me to hold him. Oh my I don't think he can get any sweeter than when he tells me his- well unless he's saying " I love you the most" after I tell him. Everyone that told me boys are so special and sweet were right. There is just something about a little boy- and to think we're going to be blessed with another one!

"Good Job" He hasn't told me this, but will tell his Dada after he does some things. I guess it's a "guy" thing!

Other than saying some pretty funny things he is going through a very affectionate stage. He's always up for giving kisses and hugs, but lately he offers thing often for no reason. We are so in love with this sweet boy!

That's it for now. I go Tuesday for my big 20 week ultrasound and on Wednesday I start a new job. Lot's of fun, exciting things happening. Hope to be back soon with pictures from the ultrasound!

Big Boy Undies!

Baylor has been in these since Monday morning...

And he has done great! He's only had 2 accidents. The first accident was Tuesday when Jonathan went to pick him up from Gin Gin's and he started yelling for "Da Da" because he wet himself. The other time was yesterday afternoon while he was again outside playing at Gin Gin's. He had just gone 20 mins prior. Virginia thinks he just didn't get it all out and he was to occupied to stop and go back in after he started playing.

He still doesn't tell he needs to go most times. We just ask him every 30mins to an hour and he runs in the bathroom and goes. He did do a wonderful job Tuesday evening we heard him open the bathroom door so Jonathan went to check on him and he was standing over his little potty going by himself.

We're so proud of our sweet boy. I've been told boys don't potty train as well and as fas as girls, but he's doing wonderful. He's been using the potty since right before his 2nd Birthday, but we never did full on potty training. He wore pull ups during the day and a diaper at night. When we were home with him on the weekends and at night we would put him in his big boy undies to get him use to them. He loves his Thomas the Train, Mickey Mouse, and Toy Story undies!
