Bless his heart...

Baylor has had an awful stomach virus since late Thursday evening. It started to slow down on Friday afternoon so we thought he was over the 24 hour bug, but we were proven wrong when he started to get sick again on late Saturday afternoon. We ended up taking him in to the ER on Sunday afternoon because were concerned he may be getting dehydrated and didn't think he needed to wait til Monday when his Ped office reopened. Thankfully he wasn't and they gave him a script for zofran. They also said his right ear was "red" and gave us a script for an antibiotic. I've got to be honest last time the ER told us he had and ear infection Dr. M told us at his follow up appointment that he did not believe his ear was ever infected. The same antibiotic that Dr. M put him on at his 15 month check up last Monday, for his congestion is what the ER doctor put him on. Now that he tummy seems to be doing better we will start it back. Finger's crossed we have had no diarrhea, vomiting, or fever today. Praying it continues that way. I can't tell you how many baths, loads of laundry, and times I've been vomited or had his messy diaper on me this week. It's all part of motherhood, but I would love my baby to be back to normal!

Poor baby wanted to be outside so bad this weekend. We thought he was getting over his bug.

15 Month Check Up!

These are my 2 attempts at a picture. He was having a blast waiting to see the Doc!

Baylor had his 15 month check up with Dr. M on Monday and here is a little recap. He doing great with his milestones: talking (at least 5-6 words), eating, and scribbling (yep, surprised they asked about that one).

Stats:

Weight: 23.6lbs (40%)

Height: 31 1/2in (top 40%) -tall boy

Head Circumference:19 1/4 (90%)

Dr. M was very pleased with Baylor's heath and progress. He did put him on another round of antibiotics because he still has a bad cough and runny nose. It's been going on for a month now. 10 days of amoxicillin just didn't cut it. I can already tell an improvement with his congestion, yay! He got 2 shots and did great. He cried for like 2 seconds and then was over it. After his appointment he came home and took a 3 1/2 hour nap- just what the doctor ordered!

He continues to amaze us with things that he says and does here are a few new things since I did his 15 month post.
-Points and says what's that?
-You can ask him what a duck, cow, and dog says and he responds with their 'noise." He has been barking, mooing, and quacking for a while, but just now responds when you ask what each animal does.
-I'm pretty sure he's saying Chloe now. Not the clearest, but I think he trying to get it out.
-Cheese- he says cheese sometimes when I get the camera out to take a picture of him.
- Jump is a new word and I'm sure there are many more I always forget. I can't get over the vocabulary he already has at 15 months. Smart boy!

He head's back for another check up at 18 months and those will be his last shots until he starts preschool. I can't believe he's almost done with them. Time please I'm asking you again, slow down!

Da Da's 30th Birthday Beach Trip!

We're back from a wonderful weekend on the gulf! Well actually we've been back since Sunday evening, but I'm just now getting around to posting. Our weekend was just what we all 3 needed.
The weather was beautiful our whole trip. Again like I stated in my last post we stayed on 30A in Seagrove. Jonathan and I have stayed at the same place in Seagrove for 4 years now (if we're not staying in Seaside). This area holds a special place in our heart. All the trips we took down there while trying to concieve and all the things we imagined for our family vacations down there have finally come true, such a blessing! I can't wait to make many more memories with our family of 3 ( and maybe more, one day ). It's in the perfect location-less than a mile down from Seaside and it's perfect for little weekend getaways.

I will tell the rest of our trip in pictures since there are so many!

Football anyone?! This sweet boy LOVED running around the amphitheater with all the other kids.

The beautiful gulf!

Bud's (Dog) House!

He loved playing in there!

Resting

Running the lawns in Rosemary!

Sweet boy!

He loved playing in our bed when we first got to our room.

PERFECT view. Can't beat it!

Passed on the way to dinner in Destin at the Back Porch! Can't break MANY years of tradition. Got to eat at the Back Porch!

Family picture on the beach at the Back Porch.

Playing on the playground at the Back Porch.

Watching the cats at the Back Porch. He did not want to leave them.

First night this little boy stayed up til midnight. That's.A.First. He did not want to sleep. He was being so silly.

He knows how this beach thing works.

Bubbles!

So I'm sad to report he did not like the sand this trip. You would've thought we were torturing the poor baby. As long as he was on a blanket he was OK.

Sand Castle time with Daddy.

Watching the waves

Our beach bum!

After lunch at Bud & Alley's rooftop! Also a must every trip!

Almost nap time.

He's ready to go again.

Hey y'all I'm coming!

Such a flirt already!

Checking out the band Dread Clampitt before dinner.

In his Bud- Seaside mascot (dachshund) longall just for his trip to Seaside.

Back to Bud's house we go!

Daddy's favorite, The Great Southern. He was done eating and was ready to dance the night away with the band.

So this is one of the highlights of the trip. After dinner we walked across the parking lot back to the amphitheater to see Dread Clampitt. They are actually from Walton County and come back to play. They are soooo good. Jonathan and I aren't the only one's that thought so... Baylor danced his little heart out until they finished. He showed us and several people around us his moves and was great entertainment for many on- lookers. We had so many people come up to us to talk about cute he was and how great his dance moves were, HA! In the picture below sitting on the bench this man ( and his wife) actually called his daughter or son and I would hear him on the phone with them saying "you otta see him, he has a blue and white seeksucker outfit on, with his white sweater, hair parted, and dancing with the beat of the music. He is so handsome." I thought it was too cute. I think he was missing his grandson. He also said on the phone he looks like whatever his grandson's name was. How funny. Just thought I would share and jot it down for my memories sake. It was a SAD.SAD.SAD. time when the stopped. Baylor just didn't understand they couldn't play all night. We look forward to many more concerts in the ampitheather this summer and summers to come.

Checking the band out before he got going.

My pride and joy!

I took a few hundred pictures ( can you believe that? probably so- it's me)so these are only a few I had to post and share. It was such a special time for us and we can't wait to head back down in May. Bring on BEACH SEASON!!
I'll be back soon with a post on Baylor's 15 Month appointment that he had on Monday. And of course with more pictures because I love taking them :)
